BREAD ON A STICK
Great food to go on a picnic with: just wrap in foil and go! Can be
prepared outside as well as cooked in a fireplace.
Makes about 16 bread sticks
2 cups plain flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
5 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup olive oil
3/4 cups warm water
Mix flour, baking powder,
sugar and salt in a large bowl.
Add olive oil and water and
mix well.
Work the dough until it
gets smooth.
Take a piece of dough and roll
it into a long sausage shape.
Take a clean stick and twine
the bread around the end.
Bake over an open fire or in a
fire place for about 5 minutes.
